The synopsis

Add a unique and personal touch to your home event with a Whisk Catering private chef experience. Chef Jeroen van Bilsen specialises in fine dining European cuisine that will melt the tastebuds of you and your guests. With a seasonal menu curated to your liking, we can exceed even the highest expectations. Whether that is a three-course-meal with canapé’s or a full ten-course degustation, Chef Jeroen is confident he will impress.

What is our process?

Send us a message, email or give us a call via our contact page. We will discuss the number of attendees and what your tastes are. We will also go over any dietary requirements for you or your guests. Feel free to let us know of any requests you have.

Once we know what we’re looking at, I will send you a menu and a quote. It just takes a 30% deposit to confirm the date. The full payment will be due three weeks prior to the event with confirmation of the final number of attendees.

We will call you a week before the event to see if everything is going to plan. In case of any final changes in numbers or dietary requirements, this should give us ample time to ensure everything goes smoothly.

On the big day

We will arrive a few hours before the start of the event to meet you in person if we haven’t already and to finalise all the food preparation and set-up. We can also go over any last-minute changes. Depending on the number of guests, I usually bring one waiter to compliment the private chef experience to run smoothly.

At the end of the evening

If we are using your kitchen, we will leave it sparkling clean and have all the dishes done. We will come and say goodbye to you and your guests and leave you to enjoy the rest of your evening.


Will you bring in all the crockery needed for the event? + -

Yes, we will bring in all the cutlery, crockery for all the courses and canapés. We would ask you to look after the glassware, but we are happy to assist here if needed.

Is there any specific equipment you need to cook all these dishes? + -

We will be able to utilise your home equipment and appliances, and we will bring along any of our own gear we feel is crucial to creating perfect dishes.

How do you look after our guests with specific dietary requirements? + -

You let us know which guests have a dietary requirement and we will look after the rest. We will either substitute some parts of their meal or create a completely different dish for them.

How many courses would you suggest? + -

We think a six to eight course menu is ideal for a degustation dinner or a straightforward three to four courses for around lunch time.

Can we tailor the menu? + -

Yes, you can let us know what your preferences are and what ingredients you would love to see on the menu. We will then create an exclusive menu tailored especially for the occasion.

Do you supply all the staff for our event? + -

Depending on the number of guests attending, we normally only need one chef and one waiter.

When do we need to provide final guests numbers and dietary requirements? + -

Please let us know three weeks prior to the event day about guest numbers and dietary requirements. We can then start our ordering and prep process from there.
