Firstly, We would like to congratulate you and your partner for celebrating your big day and we would love to be a part of it to make it a memorable and magical experience. We know it’s a big deal choosing the right service for wedding catering. Here’s why we think you should choose Whisk.
Whisk offers a sumptuous wedding catering experience to compliment your wedding with excellent European style cuisine. Our menu is designed with a high-end farm to table approach and uses some of the best ingredients New Zealand has to offer. For our proteins, we proudly use 55-day aged eye fillets, line caught fish, king salmon and Bostock organic chicken. We also hand-pick our produce with a focus on seasonality and quality.
Your Whisk story begins by sending us a message, email or giving us a call via our our contact page. We are more than happy to come to you to meet in person to discuss your vision for the special day.
We will custom design a bespoke menu to fit your style and theme. We can also offer a suggested menu that we are confident your guests will love. If you’d like we can also make tweaks and add your favourite ingredients to give you an imperative personal touch to the menu. We will also talk about dietary requirements, discuss the number of guests to cater for, and can talk about a table/seating plan.
Once we know exactly what you’re looking for, We will send you a quote. Once approved, it just takes a 30% deposit to confirm the date. The full payment will be due three weeks prior to the wedding day with confirmation of the final number of attendees.
We know questions will arise as the big day approaches, so we will be in touch with you about a month out to go over the fine details to make sure your wedding catering goes smoothly.
Having done most of the prep work in our own kitchen the day before, we will arrive a few hours before the start of your ceremony to set up and finalise the menu items. This will also give us time to also go over any last-minute changes or adjustments.
Set-up will begin mid-morning and the front of house staff will usually start arriving just after midday to help make final adjustments or movements. You can confidently leave it all to us.
We will follow up the next day or days after to check if all the hire equipment has been collected and if everything went to plan.
If you are having a barbecue the following day, we can look after that as well.
How far will you travel for an event? + -
We are more than happy to travel two hours out of Auckland to any event and are open to discuss further travel if needed.
How do you look after our guests with specific dietary requirements? + -
You let us know which guests have a dietary requirement and we will look after the rest. We will either substitute some parts of their meal or create a completely different dish for them.
Can we tailor the menu? + -
Yes please :) As this is your special day, we want you to have the food you love. Let us know what you would like to see on your menu and we will create something special.
Do you offer an children’s menu? + -
Yes, we do. We have a special menu for the little ones with some of their favourites. We can also discuss what time you would like this to be served as we understand kids run on a different schedule than we do.
Will you be able to serve supplier meals? + -
We can serve your suppliers a fantastic meal. We wouldn’t want then to go hungry as they also play and vital part to your big day.
Do you look after the table setup at the venue? + -
Our front of house staff can start bit earlier on the day to assist in the setup of the venue. We can discuss your table arrangement and take charge of this role.
What do you provide in terms of crockery, serveware and glassware? + -
We will bring in all the serveware needed for canapé’s, dinner and desserts. For crockery, glassware and cutlery we can send you in the right direction to one of our preferred hire companies.
Will your staff be able to look after the bar service? + -
We can bring along bar staff that will look after this. They will be able to stay onsite until midnight to serve your guests.
Can we supply our own alcohol? + -
Yes indeed. We don’t charge any corkage and can give you some accurate calculations on how much you would need to supply.
Do you offer a late-night snack menu? + -
Yes, we do. It is always a great idea to offer your guests a little snack later in the night to soak up all the goodness :) You are more than welcome to choose from our menu or let us know if you have something specific in mind.
Do we have any other meetings or chats between our initial appointment and the big day? + -
We are always here to help and can arrange to meet you at your venue in the months leading up to the big day to tie-up any loose ends.

We have an extensive list of suppliers we recommend and trust from working with them at past weddings.
